This Privacy Policy explains how Pelao handles profile details, community activity, permissions, and service operations.
This Privacy Policy explains how Pelao collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use A warm, low-pressure community for sock style and small daily check-ins.. It covers profile activity, community use, safety actions, and service operations.
We collect the information you provide directly, the content you choose to upload, and service records created while you use Pelao. That can include profile details, posts, reports, and other safety records, media uploads, purchase records, and support requests.
We use collected information to operate Pelao, display community content, provide profile and publishing features, process support requests, review safety reports, and improve product quality. We also use relevant records to prevent abuse, enforce community rules, and respond to legal obligations.
When you choose to capture or upload photos, the app requests camera or photo library access so it can collect, display, and process the media you selected. We use that media to support your profile, publishing flow, moderation, and any feature you asked us to complete. If a selected image includes a person, it may also contain visible facial features, expressions, clothing, background, and other visual characteristics present in the photo. We use that image content only to provide the feature you requested and not for identity verification, face recognition, or biometric profiling.
Some features in Pelao use AI, assistant, or inference services. Prompt text, messages, images, audio, and other submitted input may be sent to www.baidu.com. We only send that content after you choose to submit it, request the feature, or confirm the relevant consent step. We collect this information from your direct input and use it only to provide the requested result, such as translation, assisted output, or generated content. If you choose to submit an image to an AI-assisted feature, that image may include visible facial features, expressions, clothing, background, and other visual characteristics present in the photo. We do not use submitted images for identity verification, face recognition, or biometric profiling. Third-party recipients are contractually required to provide equivalent protection or the same level of protection for the data they receive.
Before you set up a profile, post content, or use community features in Pelao, you must review and accept the app's EULA or Terms & Conditions. That agreement explains that there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users and remains part of how community access is governed.
When you create posts, profile content, comments, reports, or other community activity, we collect, process, store, display, share, and moderate that user content as needed to operate the service. We may review content and profile or service activity to investigate reports, enforce rules, and keep the community safer. We aim to review objectionable-content and harassment reports within 24 hours, although some cases may require additional investigation time. We may block abusive members or profiles from appearing in community surfaces or interacting through supported community features, remove content, restrict features, or suspend access when necessary to enforce service rules and address safety concerns.
If tracking-related permissions are available, we may use tracking, analytics, and advertising measurement signals to understand campaign performance, detect abuse, and improve service delivery.
We may share information with hosting providers, infrastructure partners, customer support tools, payment processors, moderation or security vendors, map providers, and other service providers that help us operate the app. Those providers may only use the data for the services they perform for us.
We retain information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, maintain service history, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect the community. Reported user content, related profile or safety information, and moderation records may be retained for at least the time needed to complete a typical initial 24-hour safety review, and longer when needed to investigate repeat abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
You can update profile information in the app, change permissions through device settings, and contact support@pelao.com if you need help with deletion, access requests, privacy questions, or other rights requests.
Pelao is not directed to children. If you believe a child provided personal information or community content without permission, contact us so we can review the issue and remove the data where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the policy date and publishing the revised version on this page.
